Kidnappers Shoot Oil Magnate After Collecting N30m Ransom

An Abeokuta-based oil magnate, Mr Akeem Lawal, 36, was kidnapped and shot after the kidnappers were paid N30 million as ransom.

The incident happened while he was on his way to his home after the day’s business.

The Ayetoro-born Lawal, who owns Alak Vision Filling Station in Abeokuta North local government area of the state, was reported to have been abducted by a four-man gang of kidnappers around 6:30 pm a few days to his trip to Saudi Arabia for the hajj exercise.

He was among the intending pilgrims to this year’s hajj as he had completed all arrangements and was shortlisted among those to leave the state on 11th September before he was abducted.

Our correspondent reliably gathered that he spent three days in the hands of his abductors.

It was further gathered that his abandoned SUV was seen along Ilaro road the night he was abducted.

Furthermore, it was gathered that he was beaten blue black and later shot by his abductors.

A very close friend of the man told our correspondent that a ransom was paid before he could be released.

“I can confirm to you that Alak was kidnapped on his way home on the 9th of this month and he was released the third day.

“We parted with some amount of money before he could be released to us. The kidnappers earlier demanded N150 million but after much pleading, we paid them N30 million before he could be released.

“While revealing his experience in the hands of his captors to us, he said he was seriously beaten and was taken round the bush for no just cause.

“God is in total control. He has never been to hajj and he has been preparing for this exercise. He had done everything needed to be done, payment, screening, medical and what have you.

Two days for him to leave the country for the holy land, he was kidnapped.

“Who knows whether if he had gone, he would have been among those that died in the crane incident in Saudi Arabia. For every disappointment, God has a reason.

My Husband ‘Fingers’ Our Daughters While Bathing Them – Wife Tells Judge

A woman, Mrs Adenike Dossou, has accused her husband of “manipulation” their children while giving them a bath.

Mrs Dossou, a civil servant, who is seeking the dissolution of her 12-year-old marriage to Segun Dossou, an Immigration Officer, at a Lagos Island Customary Court, said her husband always volunteered to bath their children while she handled the cooking.

“I was shocked when our first daughter told me that she is growing and didn’t like what her dad did to her,” she said.

Mrs Dossou said on three occasions, she didn’t find her husband beside her at night, adding whenever she searched for him, she saw him sleeping beside their children.

She said: “I scolded him and asked if he wanted to ruin our children’s life but he didn’t respond. I am in support of the dissolution because I know he wants our children in his custody to continue his misdeeds.”

Mrs Dossou added that the only thing her husband is interested in is charm adding that there were times he wouldn’t go to work but he gets paid.

“I went with him to Cotonou to seal our union in their registry. I was just signing documents; I don’t know what was written in the papers. I don’t love him anymore and I don’t want to give my girls to live with him,” she said.

Mr Dossou, 39, said their marriage troubles started when his wife got a job.

“She is a thief, she steals government’s property. She brought cement and coal tar home. It was her attitude that made us fight and she left me.

I just want our daughters. I don’t love or need her anymore,” he said.

The marriage produced three children between ages 8, 10 and 12.

The president, Chief Awos Awosola, advised them to be very careful with their utterances and adjourned the case till October 7 for judgment.

I Made N6Million As A Fake Lawyer – Suspect

A fake lawyer, Olawale Falola, who claimed to be a dropout of a university in Osun State was arrested by the Oyo State Police Command during a stop-and-search in Ibadan recently.

It was gathered that after seeing a sticker belonging to the Nigeria Bar Association on his windscreen, the police asked him about his identity, but he couldnt defend his ‘Lawyer’ status.

He said he made N6m from victims whom he promised to help secure jobs at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC.

According to him:

“I paraded myself as a lawyer and I have taken money from more than 100 people. I promised to get jobs for them at NNPC and security organisations.

I have made up to N4m from the practice out of which I bought a Toyota Corolla car. I lived in Osogbo. I came to Ibadan to visit my family when I was arrested by the police.”

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Leye Oyebade, said Falola’s car valued at N2m had been impounded and that the suspect would be charged to court as soon as investigations into his activities were concluded.

He said:

“Falola was arrested for parading himself as a lawyer when he was not.

“The car was bought from the proceeds of his illegal activity and he had confessed to the crime. There is no place for such people in our society.

In our renewed effort to completely rid the state of criminals, the state police command will not give room for criminals to thrive.”

Doctor And Two Others Arrested For Selling Baby In Lagos (Photo)

THE Lagos State Police Command, yesterday arrested three persons, among them, a trado-medical doctor, over alleged theft and sale of a two-week old baby.

The state Commissioner of Police (CP), Mr. Fatai Owoseni, who paraded the suspects yesterday at the command headquarters, Ikeja, identified the trado-medical doctor as Onolaja Olawale and the two suspects as Mr and Mrs Ayogbinle.

He said that the traditional doctor was instrumental to the sale of the baby, while the couple, were the buyers.

According to him, Dr. Olawole allegedly sold the baby to the couple for N136,000.

Mr. Owoseni who identified the child’s parents as Idiatu Babatunde and Akinola Babatunde said the trado-medical healer was instrumental to the sale of the baby. The couple, after paying N136,000 to him, took possession of the baby.

The couple and the doctor have been arrested and the baby reunited with her mother.”

In his confessional statement, the traditional medicine practitioner admitted collecting N136,000 from Mr. And Mrs Ayogbinle, but said that the money was meant to facilitate the procurement of papers to adoption the baby from the Lagos State government.

He said: “The mother of the baby came to me to say that she would be going back to Ofa Polytechnic where she is schooling, to process her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) documents and that she would be away for two weeks. She appealed to me to assist in taking care of the child while she was away.

“We are family friends. Since my wife was also breast-feeding, I decided that we should take custody of the baby pending when she would return from school.

However, I have known Mr. And Mrs Ayogbinle for some years and I know that they are in dire need of a child. The woman has been suffering from miscarriages for several years. I sold the idea of adopting the baby to them. They gave me N130,000 to procure all relevant documents before I was arrested,” he said.

On her part, Oluwakemi Ayogbinle who also mitted buying the baby, blamed her landlord for reporting the matter to the police.

She said the bubble burst when her landlord who knew that she was not pregnant was shocked to discover the two-week old baby in her custody.

“My landlord who knows that I was never pregnant, not to talk of giving birth to a two-week old baby, reported the matter to the police.” If I had been able to procure the documents, I would have taken good care of the baby. I need a baby.

The CP said the suspect would soon be charged to the court soon.

Shun Night Clubs, Cultism, They Destroy Your Lives, Kumuyi Tells Youths

The General Superintendent, Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, has charged Nigerians to shun night clubs, cultism and other social vices as these are destructive to their lives.

Kumuyi spoke at the ongoing Lagos City-wide Crusade in Agege, Lagos, which thousands of Lagosians attended.

Speaking on the topic: “The Supernatural Beginning of a Better Future,” Kumuyi urged Nigerians to root out the habit of night clubbing, cultism and other negative social pastimes from their lives and surrender to Jesus who has the power to break the negative habits from their lives.

“Every plant that has not been planted in your life shall be rooted out. You would have gone to school, but night club will not allow you; you would have earned money but roaming about will not allow you. The original plan and purpose of God for your life will be fulfilled.

“People could not get the original plan God has for them because there has been a derailment. Satan, the society and sin conspired to derail your life with the cooperation of self. Your destiny which has been in the hand of Satan, the society and sin will be taken back,” he said.

Guys; See The Fastest Way Of Catching A Cheating Woman [Must Read]

A person who is lying to you won’t make eye contact with you or
they make too much eye contact.:I believe many men have faced this
situation in the course of their love life. According to the
psychologist, women are the best liars!
When women are lying and they notice you are suspicious, they
always look down at the floor or away from your eyes. Some try to
stare you in the face in a deliberate way because they feel like
making eye contact will make what they are sayings more believable.

Liars avoid using contractions. However, I believe men, too, use the
same strategies to lie. And when you corner a liar, especially a
woman, they always ask a question like,“where did you get that
information” while they try to back pedal and come up with an
explanation for your question.

Blink rapidly:Liars adopt weird body language. Liars often fidget,
turn away from the person to whom they are speaking, blink rapidly,
smile less and have pitch changes in their tone of voice. They may
cross their arms which is a sign of being “closed” or trying not to
reveal too much information. Sometimes people fidget excessively
when they are lying. They could fidget with a part of their body or
touch parts of their face, an ear or a nose or play with keys or
another item that they have in their hand.

Women who lie provide
additional information without being asked for it. They seem to think
that by embellishing their story you will find it more believable. What
happens, unfortunately, is they tend to make the story more
complicated and less believable.

The more elaborate the story, the morevlikely that it is a
fabrication and nothing near the truth: A person who is
telling a lie will get defensive. They will do everything in their
power to deflect your attention away from themselves. And will get
angry that you are questioning their innocence. People who are
telling the truth tend to go the opposite way, and go on the offense.

Change subject: This will become obvious to you when you are
trying to have a conversation with a person and they try to change
the subject or move the conversation in a different direction. If a
person is lying they tend to over-embellish insignificant details while
avoiding important ones. So gentlemen, please learn to detect a liar
early enough so that you can then detach yourself from her, before
you invest a life’s saving in the stranger.

Prostitutes Hold Politician Hostage And Beat Him In Asaba

A top politician in Delta State was reportedly put to
shame by four prostitutes after he allegedly
underpaid them after they had rendered their
services to him and a business partner who came
to town from Abuja.

According to a source who is in the know, the
politician who played big in the government of
former governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan, and
actually served as one of the governor’s Senior
Special Assistant, had sought the service of the
ladies who are said to be students of a tertiary
institution in the state while ‘hustling’ at night to
make ends meet.

He was said to have approached the girls at a
popular hotel in the town and struck a deal with
them to spend two nights with him and a friend
who visited from Abuja and they agreed on a
certain amount of money.

But after the girls fulfilled their part of the bargain,
the politician decided to play a fast one on them by
giving them half of the money they had earlier
agreed on, promising to pay them the balance at a
later date.
“It was not a funny sight o. It happened at a
popular hotel located along Nnebisi Road that they
beat the hell out of oga SA.
He wanted to play smart, not knowing the girls
were smarter than he was.

That night, after his friend had flown back to
Abuja, he gave the girls half of the money they had
bargained for and told them he wanted to go to the
bank and get the balance but he never came back.
After sometime, the angry girls caught him at the
hotel and they asked him for their balance but he
pretended as if he did not know them and even
ordered them to get out of his sight.

Trust such girls, they went into a frenzy, and
insulted the hell out of him at the top of their
voices.
The held on to him as he tried to sneak out of the
hotel, tearing his shirt in the process while they
gave him slaps and kicks.
He was saved by the hotel bouncers who held the
girls and he managed to escape.”

This is not the first time prostitutes would be
holding their customer to ransom. On May 11, a
man of God in Calabar, Cross River State, Pastor
Effiong was subjected to a humiliating experience
when some prostitutes beat him to a pulp because
he refused to pay one of them after spending the
night with her.
