Sean Tizzle has said he is not sure if Basket Mouth contacted his management team like he said he did and they asked him to pay a fee, he says if at all he did and they asked him for an amount, the comedian should have contacted him, because he sees him like an uncle in the industry and he respects him. Below is what Sean Tizzle said about the matter to Saturday Beats;

“It is cool that everything is out there. If Basketmouth has any issue with me, I would have expected that he would call me and speak with me. I see Basketmouth as an uncle. If he called anybody from my management team, there should be verification and if he did not like what they told him, he could have called me to inform me.

“Nobody contacted us to tell us that they wanted us to be at his show. Even if somebody contacted us, I would have thought that it should be directed towards me personally instead of going through my management team. If it happened, I would have expected that it would be resolved immediately without the news getting out to the public. It is something we could have resolved amicably. We were not contacted to perform at his show.”

He also emphasized that when the news broke his manager contacted Basket Mouth immediately.

“Let’s be logical, if Basketmouth with what he has done for me should contact me for a show, I cannot give him a ridiculous price. I did not know anything and I learnt about it when the news broke. I was so shocked when I heard the news. It is true that he has supported my career and I really appreciate him for supporting my brand. We tried to reach out to him when the news broke but we could not get a hold of any of his management team. Rico, my manager, sent Basketmouth a Whatsapp message immediately the news broke. They talked about it and we are in good terms with Basketmouth because we have spoken about it and cleared it all out. We have a good relationship with him and we have sorted everything out,” he said.

A woman, Mrs Adenike Dossou, has accused her husband of “manipulation” their children while giving them a bath.

Mrs Dossou, a civil servant, who is seeking the dissolution of her 12-year-old marriage to Segun Dossou, an Immigration Officer, at a Lagos Island Customary Court, said her husband always volunteered to bath their children while she handled the cooking.

“I was shocked when our first daughter told me that she is growing and didn’t like what her dad did to her,” she said.

Mrs Dossou said on three occasions, she didn’t find her husband beside her at night, adding whenever she searched for him, she saw him sleeping beside their children.

She said: “I scolded him and asked if he wanted to ruin our children’s life but he didn’t respond. I am in support of the dissolution because I know he wants our children in his custody to continue his misdeeds.”

Mrs Dossou added that the only thing her husband is interested in is charm adding that there were times he wouldn’t go to work but he gets paid.

“I went with him to Cotonou to seal our union in their registry. I was just signing documents; I don’t know what was written in the papers. I don’t love him anymore and I don’t want to give my girls to live with him,” she said.

Mr Dossou, 39, said their marriage troubles started when his wife got a job.

“She is a thief, she steals government’s property. She brought cement and coal tar home. It was her attitude that made us fight and she left me.

I just want our daughters. I don’t love or need her anymore,” he said.

The marriage produced three children between ages 8, 10 and 12.

The president, Chief Awos Awosola, advised them to be very careful with their utterances and adjourned the case till October 7 for judgment.

Apparently reacting to the ongoing trial of the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki by the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has said that the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari cannot overlook certain things in its fight against corruption.

Dismissing Saraki’s cries of witchhunting, Tinubu said: “It is part of nation’s development. We cannot overlook a lot of things. And we cannot personalise a lot of things as if it was vendetta. We have to endure and be patient as we look for justice, equity and a balanced society.”

Meantime, he called on Nigerians to often put God and the nation first in their daily activities, saying “What is missing in Nigeria is lack of patriotism, dedication to God and to our people.

Asiwaju Tinubu recalled how he went through the same trial that Saraki is going through now and was later discharged and acquainted.

I Made N6Million As A Fake Lawyer – Suspect

A fake lawyer, Olawale Falola, who claimed to be a dropout of a university in Osun State was arrested by the Oyo State Police Command during a stop-and-search in Ibadan recently.

It was gathered that after seeing a sticker belonging to the Nigeria Bar Association on his windscreen, the police asked him about his identity, but he couldnt defend his ‘Lawyer’ status.

He said he made N6m from victims whom he promised to help secure jobs at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC.

According to him:

“I paraded myself as a lawyer and I have taken money from more than 100 people. I promised to get jobs for them at NNPC and security organisations.

I have made up to N4m from the practice out of which I bought a Toyota Corolla car. I lived in Osogbo. I came to Ibadan to visit my family when I was arrested by the police.”

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Leye Oyebade, said Falola’s car valued at N2m had been impounded and that the suspect would be charged to court as soon as investigations into his activities were concluded.

He said:

“Falola was arrested for parading himself as a lawyer when he was not.

“The car was bought from the proceeds of his illegal activity and he had confessed to the crime. There is no place for such people in our society.

In our renewed effort to completely rid the state of criminals, the state police command will not give room for criminals to thrive.”

Doctor And Two Others Arrested For Selling Baby In Lagos (Photo)

THE Lagos State Police Command, yesterday arrested three persons, among them, a trado-medical doctor, over alleged theft and sale of a two-week old baby.

The state Commissioner of Police (CP), Mr. Fatai Owoseni, who paraded the suspects yesterday at the command headquarters, Ikeja, identified the trado-medical doctor as Onolaja Olawale and the two suspects as Mr and Mrs Ayogbinle.

He said that the traditional doctor was instrumental to the sale of the baby, while the couple, were the buyers.

According to him, Dr. Olawole allegedly sold the baby to the couple for N136,000.

Mr. Owoseni who identified the child’s parents as Idiatu Babatunde and Akinola Babatunde said the trado-medical healer was instrumental to the sale of the baby. The couple, after paying N136,000 to him, took possession of the baby.

The couple and the doctor have been arrested and the baby reunited with her mother.”

In his confessional statement, the traditional medicine practitioner admitted collecting N136,000 from Mr. And Mrs Ayogbinle, but said that the money was meant to facilitate the procurement of papers to adoption the baby from the Lagos State government.

He said: “The mother of the baby came to me to say that she would be going back to Ofa Polytechnic where she is schooling, to process her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) documents and that she would be away for two weeks. She appealed to me to assist in taking care of the child while she was away.

“We are family friends. Since my wife was also breast-feeding, I decided that we should take custody of the baby pending when she would return from school.

However, I have known Mr. And Mrs Ayogbinle for some years and I know that they are in dire need of a child. The woman has been suffering from miscarriages for several years. I sold the idea of adopting the baby to them. They gave me N130,000 to procure all relevant documents before I was arrested,” he said.

On her part, Oluwakemi Ayogbinle who also mitted buying the baby, blamed her landlord for reporting the matter to the police.

She said the bubble burst when her landlord who knew that she was not pregnant was shocked to discover the two-week old baby in her custody.

“My landlord who knows that I was never pregnant, not to talk of giving birth to a two-week old baby, reported the matter to the police.” If I had been able to procure the documents, I would have taken good care of the baby. I need a baby.

The CP said the suspect would soon be charged to the court soon.

Hehehe!! Beninoise Kills Man While Fighting Over Birthday Pig In Lagos (Photo)

Tragedy struck on Sunday in Tarkwa Bay, on the Lagos Island area of Lagos State, after a 30-year-old Beninoise, Samuel Francis, stabbed to death 35-year-old Clement Houme, during a scuffle for a birthday pig.

PUNCH Metro learnt that Samuel had been contracted by a relative of the deceased, identified as Victoria, to kill the pig for her birthday celebration.

On arriving at the Abule area with his brother, Jeff Francis, the deceased was reported to have challenged them on where they got the pig from.

Huome reportedly accused them of stealing the pig.

Our correspondent learnt that an argument ensued among the three men, and in the ensuing scuffle, Samuel stabbed the victim with the knife he brought to slaughter the pig.

Houme was said to have died from his injuries.

Samuel, who was also injured, was first treated before he was arrested by policemen from the Tarkwa Bay Police Division.

Samuel, who was transferred to the State Department of Criminal Investigation, Yaba, told our correspondent that he never wanted to kill the victim.

He explained that Huome had first attacked his brother, Jeff, with broken bottles, adding that when he tried to restrain him, the deceased stabbed him in the hand.

He said, “I have my family in Cotonou, but I came to Lagos in 2010 to hustle. I was in my house on Saturday when I was called to kill a pig meant for a birthday celebration.

“The next day, around 6am while I was still on the bed, the people called me on the telephone that I should come. I called my brother, Jeff, to assist me.

“When we got there, we were given the pig by a man. It was around 6.30am that Huome came and started quarrelling with us. Before we knew what was happening, he broke two bottles and stabbed my brother in the head. As I tried to restrain him, he came after me and cut me in the hand, as well. When I could not handle it again, I stabbed him in the shoulders with my knife.”

Samuel said he ran to the police station to seek refuge from the deceased and a mob that came to attack him.

He said the police took him to the Lagos Island General Hospital, where he was admitted for a week, before his eventual arrest for the crime.

He said, “The man’s family has already said they were no longer interested in the case, but the police said it had become a government matter and there was nothing that could be done.

“I have nobody to help me in Lagos. My wife has left me for another man. Our six-months-old baby is now with my grandma in Benin Republic and I came to Lagos to make money; but see where I have found myself?. Who will help me now?”

The suspect was, however, arraigned on Wednesday before an Ebute-Meta Magistrate’s Court on two counts of murder.

The charge read, “That you, Samuel Francis, on September 13, 2015, at about 06.30am at Abule Area, Tarkwa Bay, Lagos Island, Lagos in the Lagos Magisterial District, did conspire among yourselves to commit felony to wit: murder.

“That you did unlawfully kill one Clement Huome, aged 35 years, by cutting him with machete in his chest and his left hand.”

The police prosecutor, Sergeant Daniel Ighodalo, said the offence was punishable under sections 231 and 221 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, Nigeria, 2011.

The defendant’s plea was not taken.

The police, in a remand application, said the defendant had confessed to the crime, was identified by witnesses and arrested with a weapon.

The prosecutor subsequently asked the court to remand him in prison, pending legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions.

“We have a request for remand, based on Section 264 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Law of Lagos State.

The remand will enable us to obtain legal advice from the DPP,” Ighodalo said.

The magistrate, Mrs. A.O. Ajibade, agreed to remand the defendant in prison.

The case was adjourned till October 23, 2015 for legal advice.
